Day 3 (part 2) - The Meaning of Commitment

"Commitment is doing the thing you said you would do long after the feeling has long left you."

I don't know who exactly said the quote this way but it has stuck a chord with me over the years. Little quotes can make big results. That's why we memorize them.

Today, I released the first episode of Energized Wednesday--Season 2. As I was watching it back, it was clear that I had really grown since the first season. My delivery was better, the pace was faster, editing was better, I was naturally excited. (I couldn't be that excited, if I had not been so unexcited before.)

I was committed to creating and putting out the content every Wednesday. The problem was I wasn't on time. I waited until Wednesday to edit a video and I was just frustrated overall. So after a break, a new setting, a new challenge, a new ME, I got better results. No, it was good. I talked to myself. I did slow motion. It's a masterpiece because I fearless. When I was editing it I felt it "Now this is how you do video." I was light but serious at the same time. I was ME. This conference was an eye opener of my potential for greatness. You saw a lot of confidence because it's really there now. Not that I wasn't confident in what I said in previous videos, but that I wasn't 100% sure how helpful it would be to them. Maybe I was just another :go-get-it" speaker. But now after the feedback from a live event, I realize that the information that I give is priceless. I speak from my own experience which is what helps me in other speaking arenas. Using my experiences in business, I can change the world because I am fearless in what I have done and what I will do. Fearless to me doesn't mean I don't have fear. It's means fear doesn't matter any more. I keep going no matter what.

The meaning of commitment is to do it no matter how you are feeling. Too many times our emotions get in the way of our success. Day 1 was supposed to be Sunday. But, I really didn't feel like it. I made up in my mind then that would start this challenge and not miss any days whatsoever. So back up videos must be done and back up blog posts; whatever it takes.

I am committed to this year of growth, learning, and development. I can't wait to share what I have learned in this online and business arena. I can't wait to share my past experiences. But the only way I can do all of that is if I am committed to this process. What are you committed to? Leave a comment.

I got the best review ever! They just keep getting better.

Wow-I am truly amazed. I always knew that u were intelligent because that just run through yr veins-but I must say that your spiritual insight so much more surpasses it. My mind was challenged n motivated and my spirit was quickened and stirred! I thought that Scandal was going to be the high point of my week but it has indeed been Energized Wednesday...I can truly say that today I have gained a new friend. Thank you for walking in God's calling for yr life. I have truly met God today through you-Congratulations in all of your endeavors.

Elene M.B. - from PA

You heard it people it's better than Scandal! (It actually helps you create a better life instead of watching someone else's). All of that to show that commitment does pay off if you don't give up.
